Congratulations to Holly Bourne for winning the Gold Award at the Amazing Book Awards presentation on Friday 23rd June – members of the Bishop Luffa judging panel went over to Shoreham Academy to meet some of the shortlisted authors and see the announcement of the Award (we’re in the second row from the back on the right-hand side!). Since February they’ve been reading the shortlist and meeting to discuss which book they think should take the prize. Bishop Luffa’s favourite was Secret Fire by CJ Daugherty and Carina Rozenfeld, with local author Kathryn Evans coming a VERY close second with her book More of Me. You can find out more about the shortlisted books, and which won Silver and Bronze here.
If you are currently in Year 8 or 9, look out for information about how to get involved in next year’s award in October, or give your name to Mrs Regan NOW to ensure you don’t miss out!
